In portal settings you can activate this option here:

UBO autofill from document

When enabled any portal for which UBOs have not been automatically pulled from the registry will ask the portal user to upload an Extract of UBO register.

Once added we will extract UBO data from the document in order to pre-fill UBO information:

• new UBOs will be added

• UBO tag will be added to existing persons who were not previously identified as UBOs

The extraction works on documents, such as a shareholders table, that do not namely specify UBOs if they specify clearly shareholding percentages. Any person above 25% will be tagged as UBO.

If the extraction fails, the user will be provided the information and be asked to provide this information manually.

Failure to provide UBOs is not blocking the user so that they can still choose to move forward with the submission BUT it makes it clear to the user that the information is missing.

In the document step, the uploaded document will appear alongside the other documents for context.
