Add UBOs from the document task

Last updated: June 22, 2026

What it does

The Add UBOs from document task lets you populate a case's ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) directly from an uploaded document, instead of entering them by hand. When the task runs, Ondorse extracts the UBOs found in a supporting document and adds them to the case in the Case Manager.

This eliminates the need for manual input, which is especially valuable when UBO data can't be automatically retrieved from a registry.

How it works

  1. A UBO proof document is uploaded to the case.

  2. The Add UBOs from document task runs and extracts the UBOs from the document.

  3. The extracted UBOs are added to the case in the Case Manager.

  4. You can then review, edit, or complete the UBOs as needed before submission.

Who this is for

The task is most valuable for:

  • Clients with entities outside France, where UBO data isn't easily available from registries, so a document is the primary source. The benefit here is mainly operational: less manual data entry

Coverage and limitations

Please read these before relying on the task in production.

  • Supported countries. Extraction is tested and supported for: 🇧🇪 Belgium, 🇪🇸 Spain, 🇳🇱 Netherlands, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇩🇪 Germany.

  • Shareholder graphs vary. Because graphs come in many formats, reliance on non-standard graphs is lower.

  • Case Manager only. The task is used in the case manager, but if you want this to be surfaced to customers, you can use 📄 UBO autofill from document in portal

  • Test phase recommended. We strongly recommend a test phase on your own document set, and a human review step is expected during this test phase to ensure reliability, since extracted data can occasionally be incorrect.
